Frequently asked questions

How much does Babylore cost?

Nothing. Babylore is currently a fully free app with no subscription, no in-app purchases, and no ads. Every feature in the app today — tracker logging, cloud sync, multi-baby support, community recipes, comparisons, baby sharing — is free for every user.

How do I share my baby with my partner?

Settings → tap the baby's row → "Share baby". You'll get a code. Your partner taps "Have a code" on their own Settings screen and enters it. Both phones will sync the same baby in real time.

Why is my tracker not syncing to my partner's phone?

Tracker sync runs over Supabase real-time. If sync isn't working, check that both phones are signed in with their own Apple ID, and that the baby you're tracking is the same one (the picker at the top of the Tracker tab). If it still isn't working, force-quit the app on both phones and reopen — the sync channel will rebuild on first load.

I submitted a recipe — when will it appear?

Submissions pass through a layered safety review before they appear in the public feed. Most clear review in under a minute and auto-publish; submissions with safety concerns are held for human review and may take up to 24 hours. You'll see your recipe in the "Yours" filter with a "Pending review" badge while you wait. Once approved, it appears in the global community feed and the badge disappears. Read more on our Recipe & content disclaimer page.

Can I delete a recipe I submitted to the community?

Yes. Open the recipe and tap the menu (•••) → "Remove from community". Your private copy stays in Yours.

How do I change my display name?

Currently the display name shown on community recipes is the one you used at first submission. Email us if you'd like it changed — we'll update it manually until we ship a self-service editor.

How do I add Babylore widgets to my Home Screen?

Long-press an empty space on your Home Screen → Edit Home Screen → tap the + in the top-left → search "Babylore". You'll find three widgets: Today (a read-only summary with feed / diaper / sleep counts at a glance), Quick Log (small — one-tap log buttons for feed, diaper, sleep), and Quick Log (expanded) (medium — six tiles covering bottles, Breast L/R timers, and diaper variants). The breast tiles also surface a live count-up on the lock screen and Dynamic Island while a timer runs.

Can I edit a log entry after I tap save?

Yes. Open the Tracker tab, find the entry in the timeline, and tap it. The edit sheet lets you change the start time and duration, or delete it outright if it shouldn't have been logged at all. Edits sync to a co-parent's phone in real time.

How do I export my data?

Settings has two paths. Export tracker data hands you a CSV of every feed / diaper / sleep entry for the active baby — open it in Numbers or Excel. For a full account dump (recipes, comments, profile, other babies), tap Request my data in the same section. It opens Mail with your account ID pre-filled — we reply with a machine-readable export within a few days.

How do I delete my account?

Settings → "Delete account" at the bottom. This wipes your data from our servers immediately and signs you out. Local data on the device is also wiped, returning the app to its first-launch state. This action is permanent.

Does Babylore work offline?

Yes, most of it. Tracking, browsing bundled recipes, comparing cultures, and viewing memories all work fully offline. Community features (browsing other parents' recipes, commenting, liking) and cloud sync need a connection.

What languages do you support?

English, French, Spanish, German, and Italian. The app picks up your iPhone's language automatically. You can override it from Settings → Language.

Is the recipe information medical advice?

No. Recipes and cultural feeding information in Babylore are starting points, not prescriptions. Every baby is different — please talk to your pediatrician about your baby's specific feeding plan, allergens, and developmental milestones.
